Club93 announced today that it will be one of the sponsors at this year’s Moustache Classic which is the 5 th such event to be held at the Danbury Arena. This year MC5 will take place on November 4 and the event is put together by Arena staple Matt Caputo. The annual event benefits and helps provide support for mens’ cancer and suicide prevention.
93 co-founder Ken Biedzynski remarked how special the event is while also commenting that “everyone who participates is there for the right reason. Matt [Caputo] works incredibly hard each year to make this charity ice hockey game happen and I know so many people look forward to participating in it. It’s a win-win for everyone thanks to Matt.”
Will Bjornsund added, “getting involved with MC5 was a no brainer. This is a great event for a great cause and we could not be more thrilled—and honored—to be involved. And we also look forward to participating in future MC events.” Bjornsund’s nephew Scott Evans, who’s also a 93 member, is also playing this year and he said he looks forward to taking in the MC experience. “I’ve played in many tournaments,” said Evans, “but this format, with all these players from so many different backgrounds and walks of life, is pretty unusual and special. I just feel fortunate be involved and to help raise awareness and support for such a great cause.”
Finally, 93’s Jim Imbro observed, “Matt has assembled an annual event where there are only winners. Everybody wins regardless of the scores in the games and that is a testament to Matt and the MC tournament. Can’t wait to participate and meet everyone.”
Club93 looks forward to seeing everyone on November 4.
